We are excited to announce the launch of a new website this week for Wattrain, the World Association of Tourists Trams and Trains.
Wattrain is a rail heritage organisation dedicated to ensuring rail heritage is valued and sustained. The team of directors at Wattrain have an extensive background in both the rail and heritage sectors and with the support of volunteers offer their expertise to owners of heritage and tourists trains and trams throughout the world. Wattrain advises and assists its members in a variety of areas including technical, legal and commercial practices and aim to encourage best practice across the sector. The new website colour scheme has been influenced by the Wattrain logo, using the same vivid red from the logo to highlight the menu options. The train track design from the logo has also been extended to create a striking header to the website. The scrolling banner on the homepage has eye-catching images from the second triennial Wattrain conference, held in Japan in 2015. The new Wattrain website provides a valuable online resource for the organisation with details of the previous Wattrain conferences available to view online as well as AGM notices and newsletters. A handy button on the homepage also makes it easy for new members to join Wattrain and conveniently pay the membership fee through PayPal.
