This week we are excited to announce a new website that we have been working away on for quite some time, a new website for the wonderful Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle.
The Bowes Museum is one of the most amazing museums and it is well known regionally and nationally for hosting outstanding exhibitions, such as the Pleasure and Pain exhibition organised by the V & A and the Yves Saint Laurent: Style is Eternal exhibition. It is also impossible to talk about the Bowes Museum without mentioning the Silver Swan and it has been a real pleasure not only to work with The Bowes Museum but also to visit them on a regular basis for meetings.
The website which we have launched for The Bowes Museum, is based on the previous design of the website, so to the end user you might not notice a difference to the site, however lots of work has been done behind the scenes to update and improve the website.
To enhance the design one of the first things we did was to incorporate the logo into the header to create a stronger brand identity. We have also worked away on the page structure to simplify it for users so that the site is easier to navigate.
We have worked on the editing facilities so that the staff and volunteers at the Bowes can add and update the news, upcoming events and all of the content themselves with just a little bit of training and we have also made the site fully responsive across mobile phones and tablet devices.
Take a look at the new Bowes Museum website and let us know what you think!
