Here at Purple we are a fun loving group and always up for a challenge, and if we can do both and raise money for a worthwhile cause then that’s all the better!
At this week’s Richmond Business Network Breakfast Sarah and Phil were approached by St Teresa’s Hospice to see if we would be interested in taking part in a charity pantomime horse race. Naturally their answer was yes!
The race will take part at Catterick Racecourse on the 12th of July and will see each of the ‘horses’ take part in a Presentation of the Horses where they will parade around the ring guided by their coach; this is then followed by a 200m race to the finish. The horse that receives the most donations on the day will also be named the Best Turned out Horse. Don’t panic if you can’t make it out in person to the race as the event is set to be televised so no one misses out on the fun.
The team have set a goal of raising £500, for this event, and if you would like to make a donation then please head over to our Just Giving page. All the money raised is going to St Teresa’s Hospice, a charity that provides valuable support for people with life limiting illnesses and their families caring for them when they are at their most vulnerable. We are sure you will agree this is a fantastic cause and a superb fundraising idea. We can’t wait for July, let the horse training commence!
