Zetland Estates Limited owns and operates the large business complex at Aske, near Richmond.
Aske is the ancestral seat of the Marquess of Zetland and has been home to the Dundas family since 1763.
In 2000, work was completed on the refurbishment of the listed Victorian 20,000 SqFt Aske Stables which was re-opened in July of that year offering prestige commercial office accommodation.
In 2002 Phil Upton, Managing Director of Purple Creative, started providing general marketing and consultancy services to the Estate to promote and let the various office suites. Over the years Aske has expanded and is now recognised as the largest rural commercial complex in the region.
Along with his team and associated IT specialists, Phil has been instrumental in implementing a fibre and CAT5 cabling infrastructure throughout the Estate to deliver high speed broadband to the twenty six businesses based there.
The diverse nature of the office types means that the delivery of services can sometimes be quite challenging and so the Estates server room and equipment allows for offices to be clustered to form connected units.
The Estate has recently upgraded from 30Mbps to a new 100Mbps broadband circuit which required various changes and adjustments to some of the business connections all of which went smoothly.
In addition to the traditional wired connections, there are a number of WiFi services for the central Meeting Room facility as well as broadcasting services to residential properties in the area.
The Purple team provides on-site services to the Estate for a fully managed service.
