Crack open the Party Poppers and uncork the prosecco, it is a double launch Thursday!
This afternoon we have launched the brand new website for Mainsgill Farm. We have been working with the lovely team at Mainsgill Farm since March 2014, having created the previous version of their website we are delighted to have been asked to create this new one for them.
Mainsgill Farm was opened in 2001 by Andrew and Maria Henshaw and has grown massively in the years since with four expansions and numerous awards for their home reared meats.
We were tasked with creating a cleaner and clearer look for their new site that would enable visitors to easily navigate through all of the pages, whether it be a gammon joint, some chicken fillets or a pack of Cumberland sausages! We have made the site wider and used a large rotating banner on the homepage. We have replaced the moving banner images on the inner pages with static black and white images and used a lot of new images to give the site a fresh look. The site now has a white background which enables the essential elements of the pages, mainly the farm’s own produce, to standout better.
The site’s menus have been kept largely the same so regular visitors will still find it familiar and new ones will find it easy to navigate. However, the shop menu is far more expansive, including dedicated pages for their range of meat products. The “What we do” menu is the hub for everything you need to know about what Mainsgill Farm has to offer.
The site font is traditional, with headings in black and the main text in grey. The addition of gold to highlighted menus and sections is a nod to the new branding and logo, it also gives the site a high-quality feel. Social media icons have been added at the top and bottom of the site enabling visitors to check out Mainsgill’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. There is also scope for further expansion as the site has been built to enable videos to be displayed in the future.
We love the fresh new look and feel of the website, we believe it has a tasteful modern feel with a twist of traditional value, which represents Mainsgill Farm beautifully. It has been a pleasure to continue our working relationship with the team at Mainsgill Farm and we hope they love their new website and it helps them continue to flourish well into the future.
