We’re over the moon to announce that our first site of 2019 is now live! And the best part is the site has benefitted not one but two great causes. The Ambitions 4 Kirklees website is now up and running, spreading awareness of the invaluable services the charity offer to support their users, regardless of their ability or disability.
Back in 2017 we donated our services to the Children’s Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) Ball, proudly hosted by our good friends at Bedroom Image. CHUF are a charity close to the hearts of the Bedroom Image team who showed their support for the charity by hosting a glittering evening to raise vital funds. Sarah and Scarlett headed to The Garden Rooms at Tenants to support the cause and see who our new client would be as our donation of a template website went up for auction. We’re pleased to say the bids flew in from around the room, which is where Faye from Ambitions placed her winning bid. The whole evening was a resounding success with £18,000 raised for CHUF thanks to the hard work of the Bedroom Image team and all the generous attendees.
We then got in touch with the Ambitions team to kickstart the process of creating their new website after their auction success. Since 2008 Ambitions 4 Kirklees have been providing day services for young people and adults to encourage them to reach their goals despite being faced with more challenges than most. The organisation strives to provide new opportunities for their clients to build their independence, social and communication skills in order to help them experience life beyond their disabilities. This might be providing support through the transition into adulthood or aiding them to progress further towards future goals through developing new skills.
We created a template site to showcase not only the offerings of the organisation but their history and operational values. We also incorporated a news section to the site, enabling the team to post updates on their latest successes and activities. On visiting the site you are greeted with an eye-catching logo. We developed this with the team to create a colourful logo which not only attracts the eye but is autism-friendly to aid current and prospective client’s website experience. We incorporated aspects of the organisation’s old logo such as the oak leaves and combined these with the infinity symbol which is becoming a strong and preferential symbol within the Autistic community.
We have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the incredible work Ambitions do to support their clients and working with them to create a site which successfully showcases their work and client successes. And of course, none of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for the Bedroom Image team and their CHUF ball. We are honoured to work on such rewarding projects and would love it if you would check out the new site here to find out more about Ambitions and their project.
