Claro Enterprises are a charity based in Harrogate that supports adults with long-term mental health conditions. Claro operates as a commercial workshop, manufacturing and selling MDF blanks to businesses and lots of craft enthusiasts who turn them into wonderful creative projects. The workshop gives Claro members the chance to function in a voluntary real work environment supervised and supported by the team at Claro. This opportunity means that members are able to gain skills, confidence, improve their quality of life and make friends.
As well as their fantastic workshop Claro also offers assembly and packaging services to businesses, this includes projects like print finishing, picking & packing and assembling components. Their service is cost effective and flexible and they work with companies all over Yorkshire on a diverse range of projects.
Claro currently has 40 members and relies on the income generated through sales in their shop and donations to carry out their life-changing work.
The new Claro website incorporates an online shop which will allow Claro to reach a wider audience with their products and generate more income for the charity. Claro has also had a new logo designed, which we have used as the influence for the design of the website. The vibrant purple works really well to create an eye-catching site and image blocks have been used to improve navigation.
Following a training session with Helen and Owen the team at Claro now also have the knowledge and confidence to manage their online shop and will soon be adding a new line of stunning real wood products for their customers to buy online. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of these new real wood products that include everything from stunning personalised oak swings to on-trend wooden phone holders. We are really excited for these products to be launched online and already have a shopping list of items we want!
We can’t stress enough what a wonderful job the team at Claro do and how they enrich the lives of their members. If you would like to know more about their work, view and buy one of their many crafty items, or make a donation to show your support, visit their new website now.
