A couple of weeks ago we posted on our social media about a very exciting project we were working on for an existing client.
Humble Pie bakery & deli in Askrigg was a favourite with the local community, including us here at Purple and we were saddened to see Elizabeth and Betty close the doors on their much-loved little business in the summer of 2019. Humble Pie was always busy thanks to the hard work of the mother and daughter duo from perfecting all of the recipes to spending hours in the kitchen making sure they weren’t going to run out of their customers' favourites.
We have had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth for a long time, having created the original Humble Pie website and then assisting with a new logo in 2017 as the deli was re-launched with her youngest daughter Betty.
Elizabeth got back in touch not long after closing the deli to give the existing website a whole new purpose – to promote and manage bookings at her new cookery school! After many years of appeasing the appetites of the Dales with so many delicious treats, we think the cookery school is going to be a great success.
We have loved working with Elizabeth to breathe new life into the old website, adding new elements such as a booking system and completely updating the content to match her new business. We like to make sure that all of our websites are built to last whether that’s making necessary technical updates on our end or our clients having the flexibility of changing their content and layout to be in line with the journey of their business.
We wish Elizabeth the best of luck with her new venture, and we have no doubt that there will be some delicious dishes coming out of the new Hawes-based cookery school in the coming months! Take a look at the new website and book onto one of the wonderful courses just here!
