It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the team at Purple with lots of launches of new websites, including todays launch of the new MedicREC website.
MedicREC provide emergency first aid training specifically aimed at those looking to learn how to apply first aiding skills to the outdoor environment. Tim Cain, who provides the training, has years of experience in incident management and pre-hospital care and delivers a hands on course that focuses around practical scenario based learning situations.
The new MedicREC website is a clean and simple design, making the most of the banner area to show the sort of outdoor accidents that Tim is routinely called on to assist with. There are also lots of great images used throughout taken during the courses showing participants learning new skills in an interactive and engaging way.
The new website also features a booking system that allows users to book their place on a 16-hour course or an advanced course with payments taken online and participants automatically receiving detailed joining instructions. This functionality means less admin time for Tim allowing him to focus his attention on delivering his courses.
When Tim and his clever pooch, Cassie, aren’t delivering courses they are practising members of the Swaledale Mountain Rescue team, assisting on callouts not only in Yorkshire but throughout the country as a national asset and mountain rescue search dog handler.
During every meeting with Tim it has been fascinating to learn more about his work and background and it is clear that he is one of the countries leading mountain rescue experts. This is even more evident in the glowing endorsements provided by Alan Hinkes - OBE, Ken Hughes, Jon Gupta and Mad About Mountains that can be seen on the home page of the new MediREC website.
If you have a hobby that means spending a lot of time outdoors and would like to learn new potentially life savings skills, we would highly recommend visiting the website and booking a place on one of Tim’s courses.
