Whether you’re enjoying or questioning the sudden appearance of the sun in February it’s lovely to see and what better time to launch a new website for the latest holiday destination in the Dales? We’ve been working with Mark from Wensleydale Glamping for over a year on his logo, his brand and now the website ready for his new venture which is officially opening in April.
Based at Woodend Farm near Redmire, Wensleydale Glamping offers an exclusive, luxury option for those of you who want to experience the great outdoors but without the bad back and damp clothes that come with traditional camping. With stunning views of Pen Hill, the 3 pods available house a full size double bed, sofa, tv and en-suite-just to name a few of the luxuries.
To kick off the project we worked with Mark on the logo for the business. The logo includes the outline of Pen Hill and a glamping pod, using only pastel blue and green with white text to tie in with the outdoor aspect of the businesses offering. Mark had originally approached us with the idea of using clean lines and corporate colours which we quickly discovered were not appropriate for the audience he was looking to target or the message he wanted to convey through branding. We worked together to create a logo and colour palette which suited Mark and would appeal to potential customers.
We then worked with Mark to set up his Facebook and Instagram pages which he has effectively used to build up excitement for the official opening of the site. He posted lots of behind the scenes shots as the pods were constructed to full site completion to create a story which caught people’s interest and generated booking enquiries months before the site was ready!
Finally, we began constructing the Wensleydale Glamping website. The bespoke site is completely tailored to suit the brand with Pen Hill featured in the footer to match the logo. The site includes lots of information about the facilities on offer, the location of the pods and latest news from Woodend Farm-including photos of some adorable new born lambs! We also created a bespoke module to display the local attractions in and around Wensleydale with their locations and links to their websites. James incorporated a map with pins showing the location of the attractions with the option to select a category to be displayed such as walking points of interest. This was an important requirement for Mark as he is currently working hard with local attractions to secure discounts for his glamping guests.
Customers are also able to book their pod online, using the InnStyle module we incorporated into the site. This allows customers to view live availability and conveniently book a stay to suit them but using the simple system to book and pay online.
We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Mark as his glamping pod dream has evolved into a reality. Take a look at the new website to discover what glamping is and you could even book your next staycation while you’re there!
