It has been a really exciting time for Carers Plus Yorkshire, a remarkable charity that helps unpaid carers and others they support in the wider communities, within North Yorkshire, feel listened to, supported and empowered. Recently they have undergone an overhaul with their branding, merging together Scarborough and Ryedale Carers resource and Hambleton and Richmondhsire Carers to become Carers Plus Yorkshire. The rebrand for them included a new name, logo and brand guide. This led to the need for a new website too, which is where we came in.
Through collaborating with a handful of lovely ladies on the Carers Plus team, we were able to learn and understand the main pain-points of their current website and establish the needs and goals that the new website should provide.
The old website was…
π΅ Too busy
π€― Confusing for the user
π€·βοΈ Missing a simple referrals system
π§ Lacking of a strong brand identity
The new website is…
π Clear and easy to navigate
π¨ Has a simplified and clean bespoke design
π Attune to the new brand
π Valuable to the user, with their new Knowledge Locker library of resources
π¬ Simple and clear referral methods
The team at Carers Plus want to provide all the help they can to carers in the North Yorkshire area and through the new website, carers now have an easy to access means of finding out how they could be helped and supported.
