We are pleased to share the recent launch of the Amazing Neighbours initiative!

The campaign to highlight Richmond’s most Amazing Neighbours was launched earlier this year by the Richmond Yorkshire CIC, in the hopes that the scheme will make the town an even better place to live and visit!

Having learnt more about the initiative through developing a vibrant website for the campaign, and being involved in the Richmond community, we wanted to share more about Amazing Neighbours with you! 

Amazing Neighbours is a local initiative operated by the newly established Richmond Yorkshire Community Interest Company (CIC), a not-for-profit organisation working to make Richmond an even better place.

Sometimes, it’s easy to forget just how many small acts of kindness occur in our community every day. So, the initiative aims to recognise those caring gestures and invites people living in the DL10 postcode area to nominate their Amazing Neighbour!

What good deed or favour has your neighbour done for you? Perhaps they’ve collected some shopping for you, picked up the kids from school, or simply kept you company when it meant the most. Whatever it may be, Amazing Neighbours want to hear about just that - the town’s best neighbours.

Each month, the winning Amazing Neighbour will receive £100 in shopping vouchers in recognition of their kindness to others, with the nominator receiving two free tickets for the Station Cinema too!

Plus, since a neighbour has been nominated, they will stay in the running for the monthly prize throughout the duration of the promotion, so there’s no need to submit someone’s name each month.

Nominations can be made on forms collected and dropped off from Richmond Information Centre in the Market Hall, or via the website we proudly launched for the initiative in April. 

Some of our team have already submitted their nominations and June's winner will be announced later this week. Who will you nominate as your Amazing Neighbour?🤔
