If you are a regular Purple blog reader, you will know that we go on and on about Canva, but it is for good reason! It is an incredibly intuitive design tool that, as a company, we use on a daily basis.
We use it to create social media graphics and templates, videos, and brand guidelines, as well as to design print materials for our lovely clients, and so much more. We also use it regularly to create branded proposals for prospective clients and branded internal documents.
Now, don't get us wrong, some jobs require pulling out the big guns like the Adobe Suite, which most graphic designers are proficient in. But, to the untrained user, it’s a real minefield. Luckily, Canva is a dream for beginners and beyond, so if you are looking for an easy-to-use tool to create a graphic, poster or a video, it is something you should definitely be using!

Visual Suite 2.0 – In One Design:
Canva is an easy-to-use online design tool for creating visuals like social media posts, presentations, and marketing materials, offering templates, photos, and simple editing features. And, their recent AI additions help with writing, image generation, and more. It's a budget-friendly way for anyone to create professional-looking designs quickly and collaborate easily - so we love it!
The latest update lets you create different types and sizes of designs (like presentations, documents, social media posts and even videos) all in one Canva file. This makes teamwork easier, keeps your files tidier, and speeds up creating content for different places online. You can now keep all your Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn graphics together for example, making it simpler to share with clients and your team.
Design with Data
(Canva Sheets, Magic Studio at Scale, Magic Write, Magic Insights, Magic Charts):
Canva has introduced new ways to work with information, including Canva Sheets, Magic Studio at Scale, Magic Write, Magic Insights, and Magic Charts. Canva Sheets is a smart spreadsheet tool designed to help you connect your data with your designs more easily, so you can create lots of consistent, branded content quickly. Magic Write is a helpful writing tool that can take one idea and give you many different ways to say it, tailored for various websites and people, and it can even translate text for you.
Design with Canva AI:
The new Design with Canva AI feature lets you type in what you're looking for, and Canva will generate initial ideas for documents, presentations, and images that match your description or brand, right from the homepage. This gives you a fast starting point that you can then refine in the Canva editor.
Build with Canva Code:
With the launch of Build with Canva Code, you can now make interactive things like website widgets, simple games, and even basic websites without needing to know any computer coding. This gives you more ways to make engaging content directly within Canva.
