Replatforming the CBNG Website

We are back again with another exciting website launch (don’t mind us we’re just doing a little happy dance!) Today’s website launch is for Cambridge Broadband Network Group (CBNG), a technology company, based in Cambridge.

Who are CBNG?

CBNG are market leaders in point to multipoint microwave technology. Their aim is to provide reliable, accessible and predictable high capacity Millimetre Wave technology to telecommunication companies and Wireless Internet Service Providers around the world.

How did we help them?

CBNG came to us as they were looking to rebrand and initially we worked with them to modernise their logo. We worked together to create a logo that still retained elements of their legacy branding, but reflected the new direction of the business and reflected the fast paced tech industry.

It was a pleasure to work with the CBNG team and we were thrilled when they asked us to develop a new website for them. As you all know, we really do take this as the biggest compliment.

As CBNG were doing an overhaul of their branding, this included the website too. They found that their website at the time was outdated, and really needed to be responsive. This became a bigger concern after Google announced their plans for ‘Mobile First Indexing’, which basically meant if a website was not responsive, it would struggle to appear on search engine results pages.

All of the websites we develop here at Purple are made with being responsive in mind, we were able to overcome this problem for CBNG.

CBNG also had a large pool of resources that they did not want to lose in the process of creating a new website.  This was not a problem as our great web developers have, over time, created easy-to-use applications to make this possible.

A big part of the rebrand at CBNG was to differentiate the services they provide. They work in direct partnership with Cambridge Broadband Networks Limited Africa to provide VectaStar products and services directly to customers in Africa from its offices in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.

All in all, the team at CBNG wanted their new site to accommodate the changes they had made to the company and also wanted the site to look professional and present a clean corporate image. With the clear vision from the company as well as our efforts and advice here at Purple, we feel strongly that we have together produced a great website that serves its purpose well, whilst looking polished and professional.

We would love to know what you think! Make sure you go and take a look at CBNG’s new website.

If there is anything you would like help with in the meantime, are you perhaps looking for a new logo or website? Get in touch today, we always look forward to hearing from you.
