We are absolutely thrilled to announce that this week we have received our Cyber Essentials Certification from IASME.
Cyber Essentials is a Government backed scheme which aims to enable a business to put in place measures to help protect against a wide range of common cyber attacks.
At Purple we have always taken Cyber Security incredibly seriously but going through the process has been a valuable exercise as it has made us put in place even more robust measures. We have created a number of new policies to firmly cement best practices and have trained staff to make sure everyone is fully aware and up to date with our Cyber Security processes.
When we first started the journey to get accredited it seemed like a mammoth task, and after starting the process we realised we needed a little bit of help, so we took to Google and found an amazing company based right on our doorstep in Richmond, Evolve North Ltd. Evolve North Ltd have been brilliant in helping us to understand the jargon surrounding the accreditation and have made the process much more manageable.
Our Technical Director Allan Guy, who has led the project said: “Data security is more important now than ever, so getting everything in place for Cyber Essentials was a big priority for us. There has been a lot of work done to get through the application, but hopefully this will give our clients a level of confidence in how seriously we take cyber security”
Gary Reeves from Evolve North said: "Achieving Cyber Essentials can often take time, but working with Sarah and the Purple Creative team, they fully understood the road ahead and helped make the process straightforward. We are proud to see this certification that showcases how seriously they take their Cyber Security responsibilities”
As a business you need to renew Cyber Essentials on an annual basis meaning that we will need to keep abreast of security changes and updates throughout the year.
We are incredibly proud to have achieved this accreditation and hope that it shows to our current clients and potential customers how seriously we take cyber security and that we are committed to protecting their sensitive information.
If you want to have a chat to us about why we undertook this process or the new procedures we have put in place then get in touch with either Allan or Sarah to find out more.
