Henry Bell Case Study

Henry Bell is an incredibly well-established manufacturer of high-quality bird food that has been manufacturing in the UK since 1825.  They are passionate about wild birds, nature, and the environment and offer a range of products that have been specially designed to provide health and well-being to the wild birds in our gardens. 

The Brief

When Henry Bell first approached us they had an existing website that was not being picked up or shown in Google, when we looked into it we could see that Google had not indexed any of the pages so the site was not being shown in Search Queries although the site had been live for a number of years. Because of this, the team decided they would like to rebuild the website with the option to edit the site themselves as products are constantly being added and changed. 

What We Did

We worked with the team at Henry Bell to build them a website that displayed the vast range of products on offer and added a news system to the website to help with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) as this provides a way to add more content optimised around specific keywords that can help contribute to an improved position in search by signalling to Google that content is fresh, relevant, and authoritative. 

The website includes engaging video to attract and keep users interested and features beautiful products and lifestyle imagery which really helps to display the quality of the products.  We have also added in SKU details to all the products to help the sales teams on the road and are developing a Stockist location map so viewers to the site can see where they can purchase the products. 

The Outcome

Although the site has only been live for a few weeks we can see that the site has already been crawled by Google and a number of pages have already been indexed. The team at Henry Bell are constantly reviewing the functionality of the site to make it really work hard for them and their sales team and we are already looking at developing another of their websites for them.
