Maisy's Fourth Month At Purple!

Another month has come and gone (That’s right, we’re almost done with 2020!!) and I’m back to keep you up-to-date with my Purple Progress and let you all know what I got up to in November 😄

November began and it was all excitement at Purple as we were all awaiting top secret information from our in-house Christmas elves (Allan & Emma) who had been busy planning this year’s Purple Christmas Party🎉 The reveal felt like a very long time coming and we were all so curious to know the plans, as we had been reassured that it will be able to go ahead regardless of lockdown restrictions - curiouser and curiouser!!

Are you intrigued yet?

So, in a couple of weeks we will be doing Purple’s first ever virtual Christmas party!! Complete with an exciting online escape room, Purple quiz (what’s a virtual party without one? 💁‍♀️), doorstep packages with Christmas goodies and of course the unwrapping of our secret Santa gifts! Allan and Emma have done a cracking job getting this arranged, I can’t wait! It will certainly be one to remember and one to dominate next month’s blog!

Zoom has been frequented more so this month, not only with lovely client meetings, new and existing, but I have also been helping deliver more small business workshops with Scarlett, Emma, and Jess. Dare I say they are getting less daunting after each session; it is amazing how much we rely on body language and little queues to present and gauge responses.

I think it is fair to say that every aspect of working from home is a constant reel of adapting to new situations and challenges and amazing ourselves about what we are capable of.

Speaking of new challenges, I also tried my hand at my first solo website training session, albeit only to the girls of Purple, it was still something new and unfamiliar which is always a little unnerving. However, it went very well, and I had nothing to worry about. What’s great about presenting workshops and training sessions is that it really solidifies everything that I am learning and gives me that extra confidence boost.

A final exciting thing (and I think that covers it for November😅) is that a few of us have come together and started a book club! We’re into week six and chapter six of Jordan B Peterson’s 12 Rules for Life - An Antidote to Chaos, and so far, so good! We have found that our weekly Zoom book chat is so wholesome as we share our thoughts and feelings. Although we have a tendency to digress, the club is such a supportive hub of development and something I recommend everyone should have access to on a Friday afternoon!

It may seem that there hasn’t been much room for work and apprenticeship tasks this month, but I assure you I’ve been hard at work amongst all the fun stuff and the same goes for December, it may be the festive season but the cogs keep turning here at Purple! I will be sure to fill you in, in my next blog. It’s crazy to think you’ll be reading that in 2021!!

So Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to you! I hope you have a wonderful festive time, albeit perhaps a little different this year. Something that hasn’t changed this year is our dedication to helping you! We have lots of exciting plans for 2021 and we’re entering into the year with optimism that better things are coming. If you’d like our help in the New Year, no matter what the circumstances, then we’d be more than happy to help!
