This month we launched a new website for long term client, North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership. NYBCP are based in Easingwold and provide building control services throughout North Yorkshire.
NYBCP had a website developed by Purple in 2013 but recognised the need to update the design and functionality so as to reflect the growth and quality of service of NYBCP.
As part of the project NYBCP identified key stakeholders who use the website and created a list of relevant content for these distinct user groups. This was then used to map the navigation with the decision to create a tiered menu. The tiered menu means that general pages can all be accessed but users can also self-identify as an Architect, Builder or Homeowner and access the information most relevant to them in just a click.
NYBCP had also wanted to give more ways for users to find the contact details for the most relevant member of their team to handle a query. As the team is large and spreads across a variety of areas, it was important that users knew who to contact. This was achieved through adding a map and the relevant contact for each area.
