I can hardly believe it, the amount of time seems to have passed in the blink of an eye. I simply can’t believe I’ve been working for Purple and undergoing my Junior Content Producer apprenticeship for 6 whole months - all whilst working from home nonetheless, which is something I am still figuring out. Like all things, it has its peaks and troughs. However, I could not have asked for a better team to join with the support we all give to each other daily.
Looking back, I remember writing in my 3rd month blog about how much I felt I had advanced in my first three months and that I was intrigued to know how much more I will have achieved during the following three months. Well here we are! And amongst all of the hard work and getting my head stuck back into learning, I forgot to stop and appreciate where I am now. I have been cramming in so much learning and really getting to grips with the processes at Purple, which is something at the 3 month point I just thought I’d never get the hang of.
Right now feels like a very defining time for me at Purple, I am being handed more responsibility and I can either choose to shy away and postpone it or rise to the challenge. With so much reassurance and guidance from the Purple team I am constantly building on my confidence within my role which gives me that well needed push to grab onto challenges with two hands.
It seems as though a lot of my hard work is paying off, as January also brought a lovely surprise for me. Every three months my apprenticeship provider, Apprentify, awards one of their apprentices ‘Apprentice of The Quarter’ and last month I had the pleasure of receiving this award! I was extremely humbled by it as I got the award due to Scarlett and my Apprentify development coach, Rebecca, singing my praises - I must be doing something right 😂
I am really looking forward to the year ahead. I am meeting and interacting with so many more lovely clients and with every new experience I am steadily finding my feet. It is a really exciting time and similarly at 3 months in, I am really curious to know what my day to day looks like at Purple in another 6 months, Positive Maisy hopes that will be in the comfort of the office - I will keep my fingers crossed 🤞
