We are delighted to announce that we have recently been asked to deliver Digital Marketing workshops to businesses in North Yorkshire, funded by Coventry University.
The training is free for local businesses to attend and will be held on Thursday 23rd and Thursday 30th November from 10 am to 4 pm with a buffet lunch included. The courses will be held on the Aske Estate in The Smithy.
The course will focus on a number of areas including:
- Look at and discover different social media platforms, what it is, how it is relevant and why you should be using it
- How to use social media to engage with audiences, the course will cover using the following social media streams-Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Familiarisation with selected platforms that are relevant
- Setting goals on Social Media
- How to plan and create content that is engaging for different target audiences
- How to interact with negative comments and reputation management
- How to develop a social media strategy, including example strategies to aid discussion on what the social media goals are
- How to use blogging to link in with Social Media
- How to use Mailchimp to engage with audiences who are signed up to receive newsletters
- A handy guide to the seven deadly sins of social media as well as the do’s and don’ts to help you avoid common mistakes and pitfalls
- Analysing Social Media engagement and measuring analytics including-Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics and LinkedIn Analytics
- Simple tips to improve your rankings in search engines
- How to write a detailed website brief
- A basic guide to Google Analytics with a breakdown of the data that is most relevant to your business
- A Guide to Google AdWords, also known as Pay Per Click Advertising

To be eligible you will need to be based in North Yorkshire (not York) have less than 250 employees and have an annual turnover of less than £350 million. Unfortunately, this workshop is not available to businesses in the retail sector.
