The ‘Beast from the East’ may have descended on Yorkshire, but it will take more than a little snow to slow the Purple team down from launching new websites! We are excited to reveal a stunning new website for The Wensleydale Experience.
The Wensleydale Experience is a new venture from Berry’s Farm Shop and Cafe that offers visitors to Yorkshire the chance to enjoy the best of Swinithwaite and the Dales. Along with their award winning cafe and fabulous music and family events, The Wensleydale Experience have also added on site luxury glamping in beautifully finished, traditional, Mongolian Yurts!
With a location as beautiful as Wensleydale, and images that really capture this, it only made sense to make this the focus of the website design. The images have been allowed to speak for themselves with soft colours used throughout the site that don’t compete for attention. Wide banner images and image based navigation as well as mini galleries on inner pages mean this site is a real feast for the eyes. Throughout the site, clever animation has been added for a ‘zoom out’ effect that adds a little something extra to the design.
As well as looking beautiful, the new website also features some clever functionality in the form of an Innstyle feed that allows bookings of the Yurts, and event system that means users can pre book tickets for one of the wonderful events held at Berry’s throughout the year, Very soon visitors to the site will also be able to purchase yummy takeaway meals for collection too!
Not only did we create a new website for The Wensleydale Experience, we also worked with the team to develop a new logo that has been the catalyst for a rebrand at Berry’s. It was important to The Wensleydale Experience that the logo capture the essence of the experience they have created. At the heart of The Wensleydale Experience is a desire to share the beautiful location with visitors and wit this ethos in mind we arrived at a logo that depicts two walkers about to start their adventure in the Dales. Those who have visited Wensleydale will recognise the iconic silhouette of Penhill in the background of the design. The colour of the logo is also been influenced by the green in the currents Berry’s Farm Shop logo, but has been softened slightly to reflect the new direction of the business.
We think the new website and logo both look awesome and would recommend a visit to the new Wensleydale Experience website for anyone who is looking for an authentic experience of the Dales with a twist!
