For our first installment of our Purple people New Year’s resolutions we thought we’d start with Allan and Phil. After 10 whole years of being at the helm of Purple here’s a look at what they’ve loved most about 2019 and what they hope 2020 has in store for them!
Allan
1. What is your New Year's resolution for 2020?
To keep getting fitter. At the start of 2019, I decided I needed to lose weight ready for my son’s wedding in Oct so as part of that I started running again and going to our local Parkrun. My resolution for 2020 is to keep up the fitness and push myself with tougher challenges.
2. What is your biggest achievement of 2019?
At the start of the year, I could barely get around the Parkrun course, I now have a personal best of 24:38 for 5K and recently did a 10k in 57 mins. This along with losing 15kg is my biggest achievement this year.
3. What are you looking forward to/excited for in 2020?
We are very lucky at Purple to have such an amazing team, which has grown during this year and I’m really excited about seeing how the team develops and where it takes us all.
4. What do you want to learn more about in 2020?
There is a huge amount of new technologies being developed in the Cloud, all aimed at making life safer, easier and more cost effective for businesses large and small. We partner with Google and Microsoft so I’m looking forward to helping our clients benefit from the ever-changing advancements in the Cloud.
5. What 3 words would you choose to describe your 2019?
Challenging, successful, busy

2. What is your biggest achievement of 2019?
Surviving! No, I was extremely lucky to welcome another grandchild this year, definitely my biggest achievement of the year.
3. What are you looking forward to/excited for in 2020?
I’m excited to see where Purple heads next year as our team develops new skills and we branch out into a few new areas. Having some holiday would be lovely too!
