We’re on to day 3 of our Purple People New year’s resolutions and today we’re catching up with Scarlett who has been with us for 4 years now, and Greg, one of our graphic design partners who has been here for the whole journey Purple has been on over the last 10 years!
Scarlett
1. What is your New Year's resolution for 2020?
My resolution this year is such a cliché, but to be healthier. I recently downloaded an app that helps you to make healthy habits, so I am hoping that is a big help!
2. What is your biggest achievement of 2019?
The biggest achievement for me this year has been joining the CMDA course at Teesside University. It’s been hard work but already so rewarding and I am really enjoying meeting new people with different businesses and getting the opportunity to understand their different perspectives.
3. What are you looking forward to/excited for in 2020?
I am most looking forward to going on a holiday with my husband when he gets back from being on tour in Afghanistan and the arrival of 2 new members of my family at the start of the year and finishing my first year at Teesside - lots to look forward to!
4. What do you want to learn more about in 2020?
I’d like to learn more technical skills next year and have already had a top tip from James in the tech team to look at Code Academy.
5. What 3 words would you choose to describe your 2019?
Quick! It’s gone in a blink.
Exciting – this year we have started working with even more clients and I have really enjoyed the new challenge
Educational – I feel like I have learnt so much this year
Greg
1. What is your New Year's resolution for 2020?
I don’t generally make resolutions! But I intend to get back to Park Run (I’ve admitted defeat to Allan - I’ll never catch back up with him).
2. What is your biggest achievement of 2019?
To celebrate my 60th birthday, I completed the 1 mile Great North Swim in Lake Windermere in atrocious weather conditions and in a decent time too…
3. What are you looking forward to/excited for in 2020?
I hope to travel to somewhere I’ve not been to before… TBC
4. What do you want to learn more about in 2020?
Professional skills - learn Premiere Pro video editing better than I do as I originally graduated in design with a specialism in Film Editing and never ever used those skills; ‘Hobby skills’ increase the quality of electronic music tracks I create and record… I’ve been rebuying up old synthesisers that I sold decades ago and wished I hadn’t!
5. What 3 words would you choose to describe your 2019?
Won a medal. (See question 2)
