Well in case you hadn’t heard already we’ve got an award winner within our ranks!
A couple of months ago Scarlett set to work nominating our wonderful client services director Sarah for a Women in Tech award. A few weeks later we heard the incredible news that Sarah was a shortlisted finalist in the Mentor of the Year category for all of her work both with our client and behind the scenes here at Purple.
Yesterday Sarah, Allan and Sarah’s Dad headed for Londons East Wintergarden for the glitzy awards ceremony which included a delicious meal, live music and lots of fizz. After weeks of anticipation it was time to announce the winners and Sarah was crowned Mentor of the Year! We couldn’t be prouder of Sarah and are over the moon that all of her hard work has earnt her the industry recognition she deserves. Take a look at this rather shakey video from a very proud Allan of Sarah accepting her award!
Sarah joined the Purple Creative office back in September 2013 and over the last 7 years has been the driving force behind our growth not only by recruiting apprentices but being there to support them every step of the way as they work towards their qualification.
As anyone who has had the pleasure of working with Sarah will know, she works incredibly hard to ensure the end product is exactly what has been asked for while providing as much guidance and advice as she can.
Behind the scenes here at Purple that’s exactly what she does for us all whether we’re struggling with a client enquiry or something is going on out of work.
More recently Sarah has thrown herself into offering 1-2-1 Digital Marketing support sessions through the Digital Advantage programme we are part of. This entails spending up to 6 hours with a client to help them unpick some of their digital marketing queries and drawing upon her expertise to help them grow their business online.
These sessions have proved hugely beneficial for clients and rewarding for Sarah too-she is always the first to sing their praises and offer up extra advice when necessary.
In our eyes Sarah was already a winner but it was time that she received some industry recognition with a national award.
A huge shoutout must also go to Scarlett for taking the time out of her busy schedule to nominate her too! Sarah was up against some stiff competition including another fab mentor from the BBC but we’re so glad the judges recognised all of her hard work despite being a smaller company tucked away in Yorkshire.
