And just like that we’ve launched our third website of the month! Our most recent launch has been a new website for Simon Winstanley Ltd, a local agriculture, construction and landscaping business.
Simon Winstanley is a family owned business based on Leyburn Trading Estate, and the small family business was established by Simon himself in 1983. The company started out in a small outlet in Commercial Square just by Leyburn high street, before they outgrew their premises and had to move to larger space down on the Business Park in 1993… before needing to expand once again!
After over 25 years, the business has grown to offer a wealth of services, knowledge and advice, and the need for a website to match exactly that. Ruth from Simon Winstanley came to us looking for a new website that clearly showcases their range of products and the services that they offer whilst also being visually appealing and easy for users to navigate. The company had an existing website that was developed several years ago but it had become difficult to edit and add new products, which is an essential functionality they need for promoting the services that they offer and keeping the site up to date.
Following the rapid growth of their business since it was set up in 1983, they now offer a huge range of products on their site. The new website has a shop function where customers can directly purchase products. Due to the wide range of products available to buy from the website, it was important that they were displayed nicely but also in a clear and accessible way for customers to browse, while also including the full product specification and information. The products are also split into categories, making it easy for customers to find exactly what they’re looking for.
As well as the shop, we also included product enquiry element to the website. At Simon Winstanley they also offer the hiring of products on their site including plant equipment and tools, and their aim when they came to us was to make hiring items as easy for their customers as possible. So, we included enquiry buttons next to products that are available to hire, in order for customers to be able to get quotes before booking and find out more about the service available.
The new website also has a blog, largely based on the garden centre at Simon Winstanley. The blog will be used to share gardening tips and news that will help to educate and inspire gardeners who will then look to Simon Winstanley as their main shopping destination for gardening equipment. It’ll be a great source of inspiration for budding gardeners!
It’s been a pleasure to work with Ruth and the team at Simon Winstanley, why not take a look at their brand new website here?
